Miki’s is one of our most favorite places to eat in the Matthews area ! Never have I ever left hungry! Everything we have tried is excellent ! We have had a family gathering there for breakfast , and they handled this situation very professionally ! Plus everyone enjoyed the food and fellowship! The waitresses are so friendly , and cater to the customers every need ! The lunch or dinner selections are very tasty. Oh ! and don’t forget get to save room for dessert! They have some of the most fantastic looking desserts! And they are delicious! My mouth is watering !! So if you find yourself in Matthews NC go Check them out …you won’t be sorry !
Thanks Wayne

Our first time visiting this restaurant and glad we discovered it. The chicken fried chicken was perfect and the homemade yeast rolls are worth the visit by themselves. Our server said her favorite is the stewed okra and tomato so she brought us a complimentary bowl to try. Highly recommend!

Marty and I stopped by chance to have breakfast. Sorry I didn’t get any pictures, but when our food came out we blessed it and literally dug into our food. Absolutely delicious. Definitely going back.

Miki's has been a cherished spot for my in-laws for many years. After the passing of my father-in-law last year, my mother-in-law, now in her 80s, still adores dining here. For her birthday, my wife decided to take her back to this beloved restaurant. This was my first visit, and I immediately understood its appeal.
The restaurant is a small, cozy, simple, and casual place with a charming down-home atmosphere and down-home comfort food. I thoroughly enjoyed the salmon cake and my three veggie sides: broccoli, cucumber and onion, and cole slaw. The service was excellent—the food came out quickly, and the waitstaff was very attentive.
Though I don't eat dessert, everyone else in our party of six raved about it—especially the amazing coconut cake—which, along with the strawberry cake (which sadly, they didn't have that day), is my family's favorite! I heard my mother and father-in-law talk about it many times over the years. The strawberry and coconut cakes might be what kept them going back!
Based on this experience, I believe we will continue the tradition and make Miki's a go-to place for our family as well.

If you’re ever in the Matthews NC area you need to give this restaurant a try. My wife and I usually eat here once a month. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. I wish they were closer to home.

Homey feel, food was served quickly and was hot. Saw one of my favorite waitresses from the now closed Jimmy's. The restaurant was full but didn't feel "busy" and you were not rushed to finish your meal. We will be back.

I was in this area and Googled restaurants near me for lunch on my break. This place stood out to me because of the food looked good on the reviews I came and was greeted by this wonderful cashier. He took my order and his customer service was so good I asked for his name turns out his name is MIKI THE OWNER!!! I was so shocked to see a actual owner working the register not only working the register, but to have great customer service. He was a God sent angel. I had a rough morning and he lifted my spirits!! The food was awesome!! really good. This restaurant has now gained a loyal returning new customer.

Miki's has great food and delicious cakes too! I love the variety of cake options. Today, one of my favorite cakes was available. The Chocolate Pound Cake! Calling all chocolate lovers and lovers of pound cake. Don't miss out on this wonderful, winning combination. You'll want to savor every bite for as long as you can.

Wow, what a great restaurant. We have lived in Matthews for 18 years and this was our first time trying this restaurant. The restaurant itself is not fancy or anything, but certainly the food was amazing. Our server Rachel was super kind and happily answered my questions about some dishes on the menu. We ordered 2 dinners, a side of onion rings, 2 teas and they provided rolls and cornbread. All that came out to $34 before tax and tip. How can you beat that for a home cooked meal!!
The only thing I wish I knew about the daily specials that were on the board outside. It was turned so you could not see the back and had I known the daily specials, I would have gotten the fried oysters. We only saw that after we left the restaurant. That is ok because my pot roast was delish! We will be back.
